Sometimes the facts are more complicated than the story we’ve been told. Sometimes a review of history forces a broadening of perspectives. Sometimes what we learn as we journey forces us to reevaluate what we have been taught to believe. This is all good. Question the popular narrative, find the minority reports, dig deep into the historical records, discover the framework that allows it all to exist in its proper place.
Otherwise we’re just continuing the same narrative that has allowed the current popular culture to prevail – and we know that’s not really working.
