Winning is not a good goal if we don’t care about the game itself.
Think about it. If you “win” at the old world game of a duel you have still caused the death of a person. If children are present the false connection between honor and the willingness to kill is baked into their impressionable memories. Not good.
Stop for a minute. Think about the games we are playing. Think about the assumptions in the industries we’re involved in. Think about what we want to win at. Do those pursuits align with the beliefs we have in our heart?
If not, we’re not winning.
